After 20 years in the corporate world, I recently decided to launch my own business ‘Blank Page Ninja’ which helps entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants and speakers become published authors. My book-writing mentoring program takes my clients from concept to published book in 3 to 6 months.
So, why and how was Blank Page Ninja born? At a networking event a few months ago, I met several entrepreneurs who were keen to spread the word about their products and services. Business cards were exchanged without anyone even glancing at them. What distinguished one entrepreneur from another, I wondered? After all, everyone nowadays has a website, blog, facebook page and other social media platforms. What could I offer that would help entrepreneurs and professionals stand out in a crowd? After the success of my debut novel ‘Diary of an Immigrant Bride’, I recognised that having the tag ‘Published Author’ attached to one’s name is a tremendous credibility booster. What if I could help entrepreneurs become published authors? They would be perceived as authorities in their niche and experts in their industry. It was the ultimate ‘aha’ moment. And Blank Page Ninja was born. I now hold regular seminars & workshops on ‘How your Book is your new Business Card’ as well as offer publishing packages.
Why is Blank Page Ninja different to other publishing houses? Several people have approached me saying ‘Nim, I don’t have the time to write, but I want to write a book. How can you help me?’ Since most of my clients are busy entrepreneurs and professionals, I decided to add a unique angle to my publishing offer. My clients don’t need to actually write the book. They simply speak it into a recording device and then I get the entire manuscript transcribed. Fun, right? You bet!
